An Old Biblical Remedy for HIV

In Genesis 17:9-14, God ordains circumcision for the descendents of Abraham. In Deuteronomy 7:15, God promises to take away all sickness and the terrible Egyptian diseases from the Israelites if they simply follow His instructions.

While doing sermon preparation for my Sunday lesson, I ran across an interesting article on circumcision, which makes the point for me that God does not just heal our bodies and our situations by divine intervention, but also by giving us instructions which, if followed, can save us an untold amount of trouble. I think that if we review our lives honestly, we will come to the conclusion that we could have sidestepped most of the problems, physical or otherwise, that we have had had we simply read and followed the admonitions in the Bible. Whether or not you believe in God personally, if you live long enough, you will eventually come to the conclusion that that which the Bible tells us is true fact.
